I love the breakdown wikipedia gives on the word “hypocrisy.”
     See here: Wikipedia Hypocrisy
This part really stood out to me:

Recent studies in psychology have identified the evolutionary bases and the mental mechanisms of hypocrisy, tracing its roots to adaptations that serve contradictory functions in the human brain, and to cognitive biases and distortions that predispose humans to readily perceive and condemn faults in others, while failing to perceive and condemn faults of their own.
The etymology says:
The word hypocrisy comes from the Greek ὑπόκρισις (hypokrisis), which means “jealous”, “play-acting”, “acting out”, “coward” or “dissembling”. [4] The word hypocrite is from the Greek word ὑποκρίτης (hypokritēs), the agentive noun associated with υποκρίνομαι (hypokrinomai κρίση, “judgment” »κριτική (kritiki), “critics”) presumably because the performance of a dramatic text by an actor was to involve a degree of interpretation, or assessment.

I just love to dissect words, and connect with them. Did you read that? Jealous; acting out; dissembling. Does anyone consider when they call someone a hypocrite, they’re becoming one?
If more people spent time reflecting on their own issues, they’d spend less time judging others. I sometimes feel the word is somewhat of a paradox. You can not avoid hypocrisy; perhaps it is human nature.
One of my favorite quotes is from Jesus. He was certainly a deep thinking man.
He says:
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
(I love the older versions, they sound better)

Pretty straight because it makes you realize we’re all human. We’re all going to carry baggage or make mistakes. Perfection is a goal we will all strive for; yet it takes a lifetime of refining. Having our own experiences in life; helps us relate to other humans. When we overcome a hardship it’s not to boast; it’s so you can help someone overcome the same hardship.
Yes you will still encounter those people who have never experienced a situation; yet they have so much to say. Don’t worry, their lack of strength will show.  Not everyone needs to be a certain way, individuality is beautiful; try it sometime.

So before you are so quick to speak of what you do not know; remember that good old word “hypocrisy.”
